Bit late I know, but here is a quick report on our first match.
It was a blazing hot day, and an amazing turnout for our first match. The draw was conducted under the AT guidelines, and even though the drawbag specialist Baz couldn't get his hands on the bag, it came as a surprise to nobody he drew a flier 🤣
With spawning still occurring it was always going to be tough, but the lakes still produced a few fish for all. Showcasing his class again, Johnny pit in a masterful display and made no mistake from a corner peg, with a warm breeze blowing into it no less 🤣 putting 44lb 10 on the scales to take the win.
On the other lake, Dom fished a variety of methods to keep the odd fish coming, but won his lake with 22lb 4. Mickey Taylor had a run of fish to his left margin after taking the advice of his daughter to weigh 17lb 8, and Bazza from the flier, did I mention this earlier🤔 put a tidy 17lb 3 on the scales.
Ian fished well from peg 38 to take lake 3rd with a hard fought 10lb 3, and similarly, Daz framing again from peg 12 for 8lbs 6.
Next match this Sunday club pool at Tunnel barn farm, and a more in depth write up and pictures will be posted.
It was great to see everyone again, and as always the banter was excellent. Tight lines all 🎣🎣🎣
